He brings arrogance, confidence and belief.”harry maguire, manchester UnitedMaguire says United need to build on today’s win George Patchias – September 14, 2019 Harry Maguire wants his United teammates to build on the victory over Leicester City.During the summer, Harry Maguire was referred to as the ultimate…“But when you’re a player who is signed for that money, when you dance like he does and when you’ve got hair like he has you have to play well and you have to match it.”“It’s no good shouting and singing and not playing. You have to play well and he hasn’t in the last couple of months and he’s fallen out with his manager. It’s a difficult situation.”“He is a fantastic footballer and he makes Manchester United a better team. Only Barcelona have been able to do that – and that was a team that has been nurtured for years and years.”“When it is your second year, you don’t have that. You have to be pragmatical at times and Jose is that. You have to be business like and that is what Manchester United have,” Hasselbaink went on to add.last_img read more

Wagner talks about why Huddersfield was humiliated by City

Posted on by

first_imgThe Huddersfield boss says the problem wasn’t the tactics, but the quality of the opposition after a 6-1 defeatFor Huddersfield manager David Wagner, tactics alone in the English Premier League don’t win matches. He said the quality of the opposition is key after his team was defeated 6-1 by Manchester City.“I wouldn’t say we waited, but it was clear when we saw the starting XI, the teamsheet, they would change their formation from what they’ve usually done in the past,” said Wagner according to The Examiner.Harry Maguire, Manchester UnitedSolskjaer praises Harry Maguire after Man United’s 1-0 win Andrew Smyth – September 14, 2019 Ole Gunnar Solskjaer singled out Harry Maguire for praise after helping Manchester United keep a clean sheet in their 1-0 win over Leicester City.“Then we were able to change our formation as well and we went away from the three back line to a four backline to try and make sure who was defending which spaces.”“I think at the end of the day it wasn’t a tactical decision which decided the game, this was only the quality we faced,” he added.“The problems we had before the game (with Aaron Mooy withdrawing and Jonathan Hogg and Zanka both unfit) didn’t make it easier for us.”“But I think we have to say, first of all, congratulations to City for a great performance and they deserved the win, while on the day we weren’t good enough,” he commented.last_img read more

Real Madrid gets in the way of Marianos transfer to Sevilla

Posted on by

first_imgWe got the latest from Real Madrid’s summer transfer attempts, they are willing to get in the way of Mariano signing with Sevilla FC.The Sevilla FC board of directors is fuming at this very moment because the player they want the most from this transfer window, might get snatched from under their noses by Real Madrid. In another example of what the most powerful clubs in the world are able to do against the weaker ones, Florentino Perez realized that he has an option to buy Mariano from Olympique Lyonnais for nearly half of what Sevilla was going to pay for him in the next 48 hours due to a clause on the player’s contract that gives Real a preference to buy him regardless of other offers. This latest information was divulged by Spanish newspaper OK Diario, which is a media outlet that is very close to Florentino Perez and usually has privileged information about the most interesting market deals that the club are planning. The president was not going to buy anyone else apart from the players he already had, mainly because he decided that they were only going after either Neymar or Mbappé if the opportunity presented itself.El Lyon abre la puerta a Mariano… para fichar por el Sevilla https://t.co/tLFFDd9QRA— OKDIARIO (@okdiario) August 27, 2018Mariano’s past as a Madridista. But given the player’s past as a Real Madrid Castilla player and the good relationship that Florentino always had with him, Perez is seriously considering getting in the way of the deal with Sevilla that was about to close for €40 million in the next hours. Olympique Lyonnais has already spoken with Real Madrid about that contract clause, they have decided to wait for the club’s response on Mariano and they have reportedly agreed to accept €22 million from Los Blancos before Friday. Sevilla FC is quite angry about this, because they had already closed the deal for the player and now they are going to have to start from scratch by looking for a suitable alternative to the Dominican/Spanish striker. Just as it’s happened several times before as yet another sign of superiority, Real Madrid will win another battle outside the field with a club that could potentially become a threat in La Liga if they get one of Ligue 1’s most important players from last season apart from Paris Saint-Germain’s front three.MARIANO DIAZ, NUEVO JUGADOR DEL #REALMADRID. El club hizo uso de su opción de recompra y en las próximas horas el delantero volverá a La Casa Blanca. Nuevo jugador para Lopetegui. ¡Éxitos! ??⚽️?¡HALA MADRID! #RealMadrid ? pic.twitter.com/WGuaQziHZE— Real Madrid CF (@RealMadrid_GO) August 28, 2018Sergio Ramos, Real MadridZidane reveals Sergio Ramos injury concern for Real Madrid Andrew Smyth – September 14, 2019 Zinedine Zidane has put Sergio Ramos’ availability for Real Madrid’s trip to Sevilla next weekend in doubt after withdrawing him against Levante. What Mariano can bring to Real Madrid.During his days at Castilla, Mariano was seen speaking to Florentino Perez several times and he kept telling the president that he would win the Ballon d’Or someday, which is something that Perez always liked because it showed the hunger this player has. The problem for Mariano during his time at Real Madrid was Zinedine Zidane, the French manager always liked other players more than him and never gave him a chance to really prove himself with the first squad. Mariano ended up leaving for no more than €8 million to Olympique Lyonnais and it only took him one season to prove that he is the real deal, even Julen Lopetegui (Real Madrid’s current manager) was analyzing the possibility of taking Mariano to the World Cup instead of other strikers like Morata or Rodrigo because he was born in Catalonia and he is eligible for the National Team. Today a new opportunity presents itself for a player who can compete with Karim Benzema, but has different qualities compared to the Frenchman and can be a great new addition to Los Blancos.#Inda: “El Real Madrid tiene HASTA EL MIÉRCOLES para CERRAR a Mariano y LO VA A HACER”. #ChiringuitoInda pic.twitter.com/0yW9r1lQmJ— El Chiringuito TV (@elchiringuitotv) August 27, 2018Time limit for Mariano’s transfer. We will have to wait at least another 48 hours to know if the deal will go through or not, because Real Madrid still needs to respond to Lyon if they want the striker and Sevilla is expecting for the player to break all negotiations with them if the Spanish giants do go after him. The reason Real Madrid wouldn’t pay the same €40 million that Sevilla was going to pay for Mariano, is because Los Blancos currently own 35% of the player’s rights and this is exactly what has diminished his final price tag but only in the case that Real Madrid would buy him. All the Sevillistas in Spain are going crazy on social media against Real Madrid, they have been roughly criticizing the club because of the dirty play they are using once again to completely waste all the work the Andalucian club has done in the last couple of weeks in their attempt to sign Mariano for their club. Real Madrid also decided to pursue this deal because they would be a laughing stock if this player ends up becoming one of the greats in another club, when they had the chance to buy him for a lower price all this time.ABC Sevilla: Real Madrid CEO Jose Angel Sanchez has informed Sevilla’s president of Real Madrid’s intention to buy-back Mariano from Lyon. #HalaMadrid pic.twitter.com/CZ36cvP1Oo— RMadridHome (@RMadridHome_) August 28, 2018What do you think about this tactic that Real Madrid is using against Sevilla? Government put a hold on issuing any more building certificates to Priton

Posted on by

first_imgFacebook Twitter Google+LinkedInPinterestWhatsApp Related Items: Facebook Twitter Google+LinkedInPinterestWhatsAppProvidenciales, TCI, July 7, 2016 – The Planning Department is now taking a strong stand against new homeowners suffering the fate of those currently plagued with problems in the Priton Phase II development in North West Providenciales.  In a media statement which came Wednesday evening, Minister Amanda Missick through her Planning Department determined that there were indeed problems with Priton and that there are indeed parts of the development agreement left undone; until those issues are dealt with no more move in certificates are going to be issued.  All of this is unfolding as home owners tonight plan another meeting to unite on the situation which has seen cracked walls, popping tiles, leaking walls and ceilings, extreme cases of mold and massive sink holes in the land.It also comes as Magnetic Media learns that one of the two brothers who own Priton, Kurt Soukup is in country and working with his attorneys to wind up the company.  Soukup, who is American, is currently in breach of his contract with government according to the Minister’s release and according to former Premier Michael Misick who last week said there were concessions given including discounts and tax breaks on crown land. Here is what Minister Missick explained via media statement last night.  I quote:  “Priton has obligation to pave all roads, develop a park, install drainage system and install street lights.  Approximately 65% of roads have been completed, some street lights have been installed, however the park is not yet developed and the drainage system is not yet completed.”Add to this, we now learn that after the litany of complaints from phase one development, Priton development was supposed to make these changes to their pre-fab home constructions.  “Build cistern in each house. Install hurricane shutters on each building.  Change the way of connecting the wall panels.  To have three (3) supporting connections instead of two (2) connections. Use holding down hurricane straps on the roof rafters instead of hurricane clips. Use pressure treated timber or spray anti – termite substances on the timber used in structures.” While the Planning Department, to residents we spoke to last night sounds tough in their talk of giving no more occupancy certificates, residents say the statement, which Premier Rufus Ewing promised Magnetic Media would come is a cop out.  The Minsiter says that a structural engineer was hired to review the situation of the natural hole which opened up after Tropical Storm Cristobal in Azzizi Parker’s yard, but said her home is structurally safe and so they deem her to be okay.  This is however being said when the home owners back yard space is almost completely taken up by a hole that Priton Development covered up.  Parker and others fear that they are actually living on top of those vertical caves.last_img read more

Jamaicas Vice Chancellor calls for Reparation Payment to descendants of slaves

Posted on by

first_imgFacebook Twitter Google+LinkedInPinterestWhatsApp Facebook Twitter Google+LinkedInPinterestWhatsApp#Jamaica, October 12, 2017 – Kingston – Vice Chancellor, University of the West Indies, Professor Sir Hilary Beckles, has renewed the call for reparations valuing £76 billion be paid to the descendants of enslaved people of the Caribbean by former European slave-trading nation, Britain.“The £20 million that they paid to the slave owners should have been paid to the enslaved.  We have to make a claim to that money.   We have an entitlement to that £20 million that was paid in 1834 (which) today values £76 billion,” he said.Professor Beckles made the call while speaking on the topic ‘Faked Emancipation, Insincere Independence, Reparatory Justice: A 21st Century Paradigm for Economic Growth’ at a symposium held at the Mona Visitors’ Lodge, University of the West Indies, on October 11.The Professor, who is also Chair of the CARICOM Reparation Commission, further suggested that the Caribbean’s bilateral debt should be offset against the £76 billion.   He argued that the entire Caribbean domestic debt should be capitalised and turned into a grant for social investment in democracy development.“In other words, the British left us to clean up the mess.   When Jamaica became independent, 70 per cent of the Jamaican people could not read or write.   They became independent and yet three quarters of them could not read or write and the British said go and develop,” he said.Professor Beckles informed that this resulted in massive illiteracy, little or no infrastructure, among other things.“The result is that the Government of Jamaica, like other governments, had to spend millions and billions of dollars to build schools and health systems and that is one of the social democracies that have to be repaid,” he said.Furthermore, Professor Beckles is calling for the creation of a Caribbean Sustainability Fund.   “We need a fund, a Marshall Plan to help to clean up this mess that we inherited, that we have been trying to clean up; but we cannot do it by ourselves, because we did not create it, and despite our best efforts, it is overwhelming us,” he said.“Britain needs to be brought to the table to discuss the process of reparation, and if we can take this conversation to the higher level and make these demands… then these should become the basis of a summit,” he said.Meanwhile, Director, Centre for Reparation Research, Professor Verene Shepherd, in a message said the discussions are anchored within the context of history, human rights, the right to development, ethical and moral obligation, legal justification and political responsibility in the postcolonial age, looking at government responses to reparation and comparing different national/transnational political contexts.Release: JISPhoto credit: Times Higher Education Related Items:last_img read more

Commissioners balk at baseball contract

Posted on by

first_imgPreviously: The county’s chief civil attorney tried to protect the county by telling the owners of the Yakima Bears they had to sign an exclusivity contract. What’s new: County commissioners decided not to sign the contract. What’s next: Commissioners are expected to approve the contract June 7.Rejecting the advice of their own attorney, county commissioners on Tuesday decided not to sign an exclusivity contract with the owners of the Yakima Bears.Clark County Chief Civil Deputy Prosecutor Bronson Potter drafted the agreement so the county would be protected from the owners trying to play them against -Yakima, which has made an effort to try to keep the team, or any other jurisdiction.Commissioners Marc Boldt and Steve Stuart seemed prepared to vote in favor of the contract. Once Commissioner Tom Mielke, who said he didn’t understand the rush to sign any type of contract, said he’s “more committed” to the neighbors who don’t want a stadium at Clark College than he is to the Yakima Bears, Boldt and Stuart backed off. They voted to set the matter over to 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 7. After the meeting, Mike McMurray, co-owner of the Bears, said the commissioners’ delay doesn’t affect his plans.“This really wasn’t our idea,” he said, referring to the exclusivity contract. “Our goal is to make something work here.”County commissioners meet at 10 a.m., except on the first Tuesday of the month, when they meet in the evening. Barbara Ford, an Arnada neighborhood resident, said Tuesday that commissioners should not be discussing baseball business in the morning when most people are at work.last_img read more
