first_imgWILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, August 21, 2019:Surayya Sana (31, Wilmington) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle With A Suspended License. Sana was involved in a 2-vehicle crash on Middlesex Avenue. (10:11am)A caller reported two older male parties attempting to gain access to a residence on Tomahawk Drive. Police responded. Parties were family members of a neighbor who were at the wrong house. (12:33pm)A Lexington Street caller reported two white males in blue shirts going door-to-door in the area claiming to work for Verizon. Police responded. Parties were advised to apply for a solicitor’s parties. Parties agreed not to solicit until they obtain permit. (1:59pm)A female juvenile was reporting missing from Milestone Group Home on High Street. She went missing around 4pm. Law enforcement most corrupt sector TIB

first_imgLogo of TIBThe law enforcement agencies have been ranked the top corrupt sector among other public service offices in the country.The Transparency International Bangladesh revealed this picture of the corruption in its household survey tiled ‘Corruption in Service Sector: National Household Survey 2017’The TIB said this at a press conference at the MIDAS Centre in the capital on Thursday.According to the study, law enforcement agencies are followed by the passport office while Bangladesh Roads Transport Authority (BRTA) is ranked third in the corruption index. As many as 89 per cent people believe that none can avail services without bribes, said the study which was conducted in the year of 2017.The estimated amount bribes in 2016-17 fiscal was Tk 106.89 billion, which is 0.5 per cent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and 3.4 per cent of the annual national budget.last_img read more

Members of the Legislative Black Caucus along with Gov. Tony Evers and Lt. Gov. David Crowley, a Milwaukee Democrat, said in Madison that Black people are resilient and have experienced a resurgence thanks to figures like Martin Luther King, Jr., and Malcolm X.Barnes is the state’s first Black lieutenant governor. Sky has teamed up with connected health consumer t

first_imgSky has teamed up with connected health consumer technology outfit Fitbit to create a second series of short-form branded content video-on-demand series Fit in 5, the first time Sky has worked with a partner to create a short-form ‘funded content’ series.The concept of Fit in 5 series is to get people fit in only five minutes per day. The series is exclusively available to Sky customers on On Demand, Sky Go and Now TV. TV presenters Lisa Snowdon and Sarah-Jane Mee will feature in the episodes, hosted by Personal Trainer Marvin Ambrosius.The campaign will run over a series of 18 ad-funded episodes to be premiered on Sky’s On Demand platform for six weeks, beginning from today.  It will then be rolled out across Sky Sports Mix in July and will aim to eclipse the success of the first series.The programme will run alongside the launch of Fitbit’s new slimline Alta HR fitness tracker and an accompanying TV campaign from the brand. The programme will also have Fitbit sponsorship idents attached and Fitbit Alta HR product placement.The partnership between Fitbit and Sky was brokered by Sky Media, the advertising sales division of Sky, and Media Brands a global media and advertising agency that operates as part of Universal McCann.Rachel Bristow, ‎Director of Partnerships at Sky Media, said: “We are delighted to be working with Fitbit to help the fitness brand engage with customers in a new and exciting way. first_imgNick PercyBBC Worldwide (BBCWW) has named Nick Percy as executive vice president in Western Europe.Percy replaces Tobi de Graaff, who has been given a newly created role as director of commissioning and coproduction.Percy will take over de Graaff’s former role on September 1 at BBCWW’s London office. The role will have him oversee all of the company’s business activities in Western Europe, which consists of Benelux, France, Germany, Iberia, Italy and the Nordics.Percy’s remit includes responsibility for BBCWW’s sales clients, the Northern European channels portfolio and production bases in France, Germany and the Nordics.De Graaff’s role will be responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies for premium content.
