When they entered the apartment, they found a dead dog on the floor of a bedroom.In the court documents, the dog was described as clearly malnourished and believed to have died of starvation. Another dog found locked in a cage and a cat were taken to the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter.Animal Control told police they believed the dog had been dead for several days before it was found.Ryanne Joy’e Gilbert, 21, was charged with animal abuse.last_img
