Facebook Twitter: @NeosKosmos Instagram Beirut Hellenic Bank has won ‘Best Term Deposits – Long Term’ and ‘Best DIY Super Savings Account’ in Money magazine’s annual ‘Best of the Best’ awards announced on Thursday. Money’s annual financial guide and awards help Australians find the best financial products in various categories. “The Bank always strived to lead the market in 2011 by delivering the best interest rates for savers and passing on interest rate rises as fast as we could to our customers,” said Beirut Hellenic Bank Managing Director, James Wakim. “Learning that we were judged as Australia’s best in two key savings categories is a great honour for Beirut Hellenic Bank and will only make us work harder in 2012 to ensure we continue to provide our customers with market leading financial products and service,” said James Wakim. For the ‘Best Term Deposits – Long Term’ category, winners were ranked by the average of the current rate and the historical six-month effective interest rate for a $25,000 balance and one-year term. ‘Best DIY Super Savings Account’ category was decided by the winners being ranked by their interest rates for a balance of $50,000. Bonus – but not promotional – rates were taken into consideration and accounts had to be available to a trust. “Beirut Hellenic Bank aims to be Australia’s leading multicultural financial institution and providing superior customer service and banking products is the only way to get there,” continued James Wakim. “I am delighted to receive these two awards on behalf of Beirut Hellenic Bank and can promise customers that 2012 will see us strive to continue to lead the market in these categories and others,” concluded James Wakim.
