German auto maker BMW has launched the 330i Gran Turismo M Sport in India at Rs 49.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). It is, as the name suggests, an M Sport packaged version of the 330i GT and is priced Rs 4 lakhs more than the standard 330i M Sport.The M Sport package is available with the standard body style 330i and this addition now shows the GT family of cars get an M Sport package. This package comprises the sporty bumpers, aero aids, 18-inch M wheels and a whole bunch of M badges and racing colours striping all around.On the interior, BMW gives sporty seats, M spec steering wheel and headliner in a shade of anthracite which is specific to this model. It is a 2.0-litre petrol under the hood producing 248bhp/350Nm with power going to the rear wheels via a ZF eight-speed gearbox, similar to the one found BMW Z4. The 330i GT M Sport accelerates from standstill to 100kmph in 6 seconds.This has become a trend for luxury car makers to offer sport versions of their standard models so as to make the car stand out.
