first_imgFormer Donegal legend Manus Boyle rolled back the years on Saturday when he struck the winner for Killybegs in their Reserve Championship clash against neighbours Kilcar. Boyle, 49, famously scored NINE points for Donegal and delivered a man-of-the-match display in the historic 1992 All-Ireland win over Dublin.Fast forward TWENTY-THREE years later and the forward is still doing the business for his club. In a very close contest Killybegs narrowly edged out Kilcar with Boyle showing all his class and experience to knock over a late winner for the fishermen. While most of his All-Ireland winning colleagues have been enjoying their retirement over the years and with many taking up management positions Boyle hasn’t hung up the boots yet. After notching the winner on Saturday he may be tempted to play on for another year at FIFTY years of age.As the old saying goes form is only temporary, class is permanent and in the case of Manus Boyle that is very true.  1992 ALL-IRELAND WINNER ROLLS BACK THE YEARS AT 49 FOR HIS CLUB was last modified: August 24th, 2015 by Mark ForkerShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:newsSportlast_img
