Right back: Nathaniel Clyne – Clyne is nailed on as the Reds’ right back and Liverpool fans will be expecting him to kick on and improve on his performances from last season. 11 Liverpool are making more moves in the transfer market this week, having already brought in three new faces.Loris Karius, Joel Matip and Sadio Mane have all arrived on Merseyside but two new faces could be joining them imminently.Estonia defender Ragnar Klavan looks set to make a £4.2m move from Augsburg while Jurgen Klopp is also keen to sign Newcastle’s Georginio Wijnaldum for around £25m.While Klavan would be signed as back up, Wijnaldum will be pushing to start for the Reds, but who would he replace in the starting line up?Click the arrow above, right, to see How Liverpool could begin the season with the Dutchman in the starting XI. Goalkeeper: Loris Karius – click the arrow, right, to see how Liverpool could line up next season – Karius looks set to start the season as Klopp’s no.1 despite his mistake against Wigan in pre-season, which would have led to a goal had he not recovered so brilliantly. Left attack: Philippe Coutinho – Coutinho will continue his role of attacking from the left and drifting into the middle to influence proceedings. Centre back: Joel Matip – Reds can expect new signing Matip to be thrust straight into the first team with rumoured fellow new signing Ragnar Klavan to be his back up. 11 11 11 11 Centre forward: Roberto Firmino – Firmino could be preferred to Daniel Sturridge because of his flexibility and willingness to run. Klopp demands total effort from his players and, as such, still appears unconvinced by Sturridge, despite his goals towards the end of last season. Left back: Alberto Moreno – Klopp is interested in bringing in a new left back but Moreno is front runner to start the season in the position, as it stands. 11 Right attack: Sadio Mane – Klopp’s £30m man Mane will form part of a dynamic and hard working attack from the right of the forward triumvirate. Other contenders for the role, left and right, will be Adam Lallana and Danny Ings. Centre back: Dejan Lovren – Lovren may start because of a lack of other options with Kolo Toure released and Mamadou Sakho carrying an injury at present. Centre midfield: Jordan Henderson – As captain Henderson will play a key role for Klopp and will continue with his role in the centre of the pitch, working from box-to-box. 11 11 Centre midfield: Georginio Wijnaldum – If Liverpool seal a £25m move for Wijnaldum from Newcastle, it is likely he would slot in to an attacking midfield role, behind the main forward. last_img
