first_imgSpanish midfielder Andres Iniesta has penned a new deal at his club, Barcelona, until the end of his career.The 33-year old Barcelona captain came through the club’s famed La Masia Academy having joined in 1996 at the age of 12. He has gone on to make 639 appearances (He is second on their all-time list) for the Blaugrana since his first-team debut in October 2002 scoring 55 goals in the process.His new contract was confirmed via a club statement which said:“Andres Iniesta signed a lifetime contract with FC Barcelona on Friday, in a deal that will keep him at the club for the rest of his career.”Andres Iniesta has won a record 30 titles at Barcelona, same as Argentine superstar Lionel Messi and has been club captain since 2015.He has also been very influential for his country, Spain, with two European Championship titles and one World Cup title.
